Description
The San Antonio office of McCoy Leavitt Laskey (Stone Oak Area) has an immediate need for an experienced insurance defense attorney. This office is seeking an attorney with seven to twenty years of litigation experience. This position is for a lawyer who is already able to independently handle larger cases, predominantly handling cases involving oilfield explosions, fires, and accidents, as well as cases involving commercial-motor-vehicle accidents. Depending on qualifications, the position offered may be at a partner level.

While we have excellent staff, a successful attorney will know how to find and read things on a computer, type his/her own documents, and save things to an electronic file.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in insurance defense litigation
- Manage docket from inception through trial
- Collaborate with attorneys and partners on complicated legal issues
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
- Prepare timely reports to clients and insurance carriers
- Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigation
- Travel to in-state and out-of-state depositions and hearings
- Be a team player
Qualifications
- 7 to 20 years of litigation experience
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas
