Description

We seek an ambitious, entrepreneurial attorney to represent clients in property tax appeals across various states.  This role is ideal for a newly licensed attorney who has taken, or is eligible to take, the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) and is looking to build a dynamic multi-jurisdictional property tax appeal legal practice.   This independent contractor role offers the freedom to operate under your own firm while learning from and collaborating with experts in the industry.  

Key Responsibilities: 

•        Represent clients in property tax appeals across multiple states, including but not limited to AK, TN, AL, RI, MT, ND, SD, MD, WY

•        Research and apply state-specific property tax laws and appeal procedures to develop effective appeal strategies

•        Prepare, file, and negotiate property tax appeal cases on behalf of clients, with direction and support from our consulting team

•        Communicate with appraisal districts, assessors, and appeal boards, present evidence and advocate for fair tax assessments

Requirements

•        Licensed attorney with UBE score eligibility (minimum score of 270); licensed or able to be licensed in multiple states
•        Interest or experience in property tax law or real estate law is a plus but not required
•        Self-starter with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and excellent time management skills
•        Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
•        Entrepreneurial mindset, with an interest in building a client-focused practice within the property tax appeal sector
