The Dallas office is actively recruiting for a Paralegal to assist lawyers on the Tax and ERISA team. The successful candidate will possess the experience necessary to draft advanced estate planning documents for high net worth clients, wills and trusts, oil and gas/real estate transactions, probate administration, and preparation of federal estate tax returns. A professional demeanor and ability to interface with clients is critical.
Qualified candidates should possess a four-year college degree or equivalent education and paralegal experience. Paralegal certification preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of estate planning and probate experience. Individuals applying for this position should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer databases and substantive legal research. Qualified candidates must have a professional demeanor and possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to pay strict attention to detail and work well under pressure.
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above. Examples include: ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Must be flexible to work overtime as necessary to meet job demands.
